Yongyeon Pond was supposed to be one of the first stops in Jeju, but due to bad weather on the first day, we changed our plans. Getting there was more of accidental than intentional, as we wanted to visit Yongduam Rock only due to time constraints. However, we parked at the wrong carpark and ended up at Yongyeon Pond! Fate I must say. Typical beautiful clear waters of Jeju, which I have gotten used to. Many recommend visiting the place during full moon at night, where the moon's reflection on the pond creates a breathtaking view.

Honestly speaking, I was underwhelmed by the structure. The rock did look like a dragon, but it was too far way from the viewing platform. The above picture was taken using Olympus E-PL3 with zoom lens at 62mm. Not a must-go in my opinion if you don't have the luxury of time.
The place was near the airport and you can see the planes flying really low and close to the coast. Love the clear blue skies that day though!
