I love museums, especially those that have buildings and streets that depict life in the past. Thankfully the Museum of Housing and Living was walking distance from our airbnb, so there's no reason why not to go (except that it eats into the remaining shopping time).

Museum of Housing and Living
Address: Japan, 〒530-0041 Osaka Prefecture, Osaka, Kita Ward, Tenjinbashi, 6 Chome−4−20
Hours: 10am to 5pm (closed on Tuesdays)

Admission Fee: 600yen (students get a discount! Mr Ting was mistaken as an university student, but unfortunately he didn't have a student pass)

You can rent kimonos to wear in the museum for photo-taking. However no one was interested like me so modern clothes it was!

The edo-period streets exhibition room is quite small, but if you are interested in details you may be able to spend 1 or 2 hours there.

I'm not a fan of unagi (I only eat anago in Singapore), but this was so delicious I'd go again! This is charcoal grilled unagi bowls, and comes into different sizes. We ordered the 2/3 cut bowls, and it was just nice for us. Menu at tenjinbashi can be found here. As usual, me and my mum ordered grated wild yam to share. Yummy!!

The seats for the restaurant are on the second floor, and there's no high chairs available. Hence it may a little inconvenient for families with young kids. We took turns to carry Little V so it was alright.

Kuromon Ichiba Market

We love visiting local markets when we travel. Kuromon Ichiba market was a little disappointing. There's stalls selling bbq shellfish, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other food stalls. Other than food stalls, there's not much to buy.

Freshly grilled scallops

We wanted to buy one of these back, but don't think we can use so much in such a short time.

Bonito flakes

Bbq beef - tasted ok but I guess after having Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M, nothing can beat that.

BIC Camera Namba Store
Address: Japan, 〒542-0074 Osaka Prefecture, Osaka, Chuo Ward, Sennichimae, 2−10−1
Our search for yamazaki whiskey resumed at BIC Camera, but unfortunately they were all sold out!!! Stumbled upon old CD players and cassette players though! I didn't know they still existed!!

Nursing "room" or partition at BIC Camera. It was near the gents and hence I didn't feel very comfortable (and it wasn't exactly nice smelling), but better than nothing!

Takashimaya at Namba! So much to see at the basement food hall, but so little time!!

I bought this custard pudding and loved it!!
My loot of the day! The red bean pocky was my favourite!
