1.4 million square meters in area, with sporting facilities, wooded park, sculptures, reproduction of 2 historical sites, museum - this is Olympic Park. This is also the place where I watched a few concerts! And where Running Man was filmed at least twice!

After 3 consecutive weeks of concert-going, I returned with the aim to admire the scenery rather than pretty boys, and thankfully the weather was cool!

Olympic Park (奥林匹克公园/올림픽공원)
How to get there: Get off at Mongchontoseong Station (몽촌토성) – line 8, exit 1
Admission fee: free
Olympic Museum: The admission fee is 3000 won.

The cherry blossoms season made me slightly flower crazy, running around Seoul searching for the best scenery. If you are not a fan of cherry blossoms, you should still pay Olympic park a visit, as there are many species of plants at the park and it's a beautiful place for an evening stroll!

In my opinion, the park may not be the best place for pure cherry blossoms viewing since the cherry trees are scattered all around the park, but the mix of different species of flowers and trees makes it worth the trip! Plus I was slightly bored of cherry blossoms after a while, so it was a breath of fresh air to me!
Panoramic view of the park with flags of the world
I walked around the park circuit for probably 1.5hour while taking lots of photos, and it was a relaxing stroll! For the park guide, visit http://www.kspo.or.kr/english/park/guide.asp.

Musical fountain at the Waterside Stage
The water fountain was dancing to 2pm's song when I was there, quite amusing since it's not a typical song for a musical fountain show.

View of the Stadiums

Baseball Stadium

Walk up and you can see the scenery from (probably) the highest point in the park

If you're tired or just not a fan of walking, take a ride on the road train "Hodori Train" located next to the Peace Square.

Art Sculpture - Dialogue

When you're overseas for an extended period of time, you can't help it but miss home sometimes. Of course I had to find the Singapore flag and take some photos of it/with it. I'm proud to be Singaporean! (:
