Cradle Mountain ~ Dove Lake Circuit
Dove Lake Circuit is one of the most popular circuits in Cradle Mountain region. The circuit is mostly flat on boardwalks and dirt paths, with one short moderate hill. It was snowing quite heavily the night before, and we were stuck in the snow for a brief moment on our way in. It was also the first time we experienced hailstones! The hailstones were grain size but painful enough! The scenery was stunning, with good views of the peaks of Cradle Mountain from every angle.Description: 2 hour circuit (~5.7km)
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Cradle Mountain drizzled with snow
The poncho protected me from the hailstones, slightly. The paths were very very slippery though. We did not have good trekking shoes, just normal track shoes (and boots for me), and slipped a few times.
Cradle Chalet
We spent the night in Cradle Mountains at the cosy Cradle Chalet. It was -2 degree celsius but we were kept warm by the heating! They also provided some snacks since we were out in the wilderness!

My camera lens fogged up when we entered the chalet.
Breakfast basket
We were drenched after being hit by the hailstones at Dove Lake. Thankfully the heaters in the bathroom were great! We used the heating lamps to dry our clothes on a clothes rack.
There's only a microwave in the chalet, so remember to prepare some microwaveable food for dinner!
