The thing I love about road trips is that you decide where and when you want to stop! Own time own target! Not that I'm the carefree type who can bum my time away at a single place for the whole day though, if you know me well enough. My itineraries are usually filled with back-to-back activities - not suitable for the faint-hearted. But that day, my itinerary was a relaxing one! Just 3 stops to shop and eat along the way to Launceston!
Ashgrove Farm Cheese
Address: 6173 Bass Highway (A1), Elizabeth Town TAS 7304

Make a trip to the cheese shop if you are a cheese lover! There's samples to try and definitely something to bring home! We bought a good selection of cheese that lasted for the next few months! My favourite was the wasabi cheese!!
If you are interested to find out how cheese is made, you can view the process from Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm.
Other than cheese, they sell other products for the cheese platter as well.

After eating cheese as our appetisers, our next stop was Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm for mains and desserts! Haha! We ordered 2 dishes to share, but we can only remember the delicious raspberry waffles!!! It is still the best dessert dish we ever had in our honest opinion.

41 Deg South Salmon & Ginseng Farm
Address: 323 Montana Road, Deloraine TAS 7304
Phone: (03) 6362 4130
After the wonderful dessert stop at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, the stop at 41 Deg South seemed a bit lacklustre. We were not interested in the self-guided tour to see the salmon farms, hence it was a brief stop for us. There were some interesting products on sale and we bought the ginseng honey and ginseng spice which were not bad. On hindsight, we should have visited the farms to make the trip more worthwhile.
After our visits at the 3 stops, we made our way to the next destination - Launceston! Gosh I miss the raspberry waffles!!
