Our first stop of the day. The weather was really fine that day, but apparently the undercurrents were really bad, so the glass bottom boat was not in operation. Hence we went for the underwater observatory directly. You need to take a shuttle bus from the entrance to the observatory, or you can walk for about 10-20mins. The bus is quite small (about 20pax?), so it's better to wait at the shuttle bus stop earlier.

We managed to take a quick welfie before the bus came!
The visibility was great that morning, and there were lots of fishes just floating around despite the strong currents.
Miss Ting had a fun time looking at the fishes. The spiral staircase down the observatory is quite steep, so be careful if you are holding your little ones.

We bought a "wafer" of fish food from the entrance to the underwater observatory. Totally biodegradable. I love this idea!
Look at how clear the water is!! We enjoyed our time feeding the fishes 😀

This is one of the last minute add-on to the itinerary, and good thing that we did because we enjoyed ourselves there! It's very touristy and gimmicky, but so cute!! Small kids (and big kids like me) will love the place. You can walk around the garden and find tiny pineapples the size of your fingers. We also took an instant photo at the photobooth and bought lots of snacks! There's lots of food sampling too 😋

You cannot miss having shabu shabu and bbq while you are in Japan. For Manmi Yakiniku, I think the beef was the best. I didn't enjoy the shabu shabu as much as I did in Hokkaido. We had one fantastic shabu shabu dinner at Sennari 千成 in Furano! Back to Manmi, I love that the meat is barbecued using charcoal! It's a bit dangerous if you have playful toddlers around but my "mummy reflexes" are pretty good.

First time bbq-ing bittergourd 😂
