How to get there: From Hyehwa Station (Line 4) Exit 2, walk along Daehangno for about 500m, turn left at Ihwajang-gil and walk up for another 400m.
Filming Location: Strong Girl Bong-soon (힘쎈여자 도봉순) (Park Bo-young, Park Hyung-sik, Ji Soo), Doctors (닥터스) (Kim Rae-won, Park Shin-hye)

Naksan Park Fortress Trail (낙산공원)
I actually got distracted walking down daehangno, and ended up walking up to Naksan Park before reaching Ihwa Mural Village. It has a good view of the Jongno area, including Namsan tower on the left!

Filming location of Rooftop Prince (옥탑방 왕세자), but pretty much of the original artwork has been updated.
What's left of the original artwork seen in the drama.
ZE:A's Hwang Kwanghee and Secret's Han Sunhwa filmed one of the episodes of We Got Married here too!

As the skies turn dark, I walked along the area around Daehangno, and found streets that became busier as the night falls. Daehangno (or Daehak-ro 대학로) means "College Street", and you can find lots of theatres and concert halls, street performers and definitely shopping, restaurants and cafes for the youth.
As you walk along the streets, you may be approached by random strangers trying to sell the tickets for their shows.
Ticket Booths
Street stalls are aplenty along the main road
Stall selling olden times snacks and toys

Hakrim Coffee 학림다방
Filming location: You Who Came from the Stars (별에서 온 그대/来自星星的你) (Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun), Black Knight (흑기사) (Kim Rae-won, Shin Se-kyung); Because This Is My First Life (이번 생은 처음이라) (Lee Min-ki, Jung So-min); The Heirs (왕관을 쓰려는 자, 그 무게를 견뎌라 – 상속자들) (Lee Min-ho, Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin)

It took me the longest time to find the cafe, and by the time I found it, it was time to meet my friend. Unfortunately I did not get to visit the cafe. It's definitely on my bucket list the next time I visit Korea!
Address: 94-2 Myeongnyun 4(sa)ga, Jongno-gu, Seoul 서울 종로구 명륜4가 94-2
How to get there: Hyehwa Station (Line 4) Exit 3, walk for about 70m and look out for the signage on the second floor!

Lots of things going on around Hyehwa Station, and I wished that I had more time for shopping and just wandering around the colourful and bustling streets. Well, there's always the next time right?

  2. Thanks so much for this post! I'd been searching "Hyehwa" instead of "Daehango" and now i've got so much more to go off. Your information and photos gave me a good look into what I'll be seeing within a month. Thanks :-)
