Tea Break! O'sulloc Tea Museum

We saw rows and rows of green tea plantations as we drove towards our next destination - O'sulloc Tea Museum. 

The museum building is shaped like a green tea cup. It houses a cafe, shop, exhibition halls and observatory. Just outside the museum, there is a garden as well as the actual tea plantation. Admission to the building is free.

The cafe sells their specialty green tea, as well as beverages like green tea latte, blended green tea, ice-cream, tea cookies and roll cakes.

We decided on the Green Tea Roll Cake, Green Tea Latte and Jeju Island Green Tea (with my favourite red bean in it!) The cookies come with the drinks we ordered (both green tea and black tea cookies).

The roll cake was soft and fluffy, and the cream was just nice. Not too sweet! I would have bought back a roll of the cake if not for the hot weather, since we had a few other locations to visit after the museum. The cookies were very fragrant and crunchy, and they're available in boxes to bring home! I bought a box of green tea and black tea cookies set for KRW 11,000.

Other than the cafe, they have a shop just next to the cafe that sells tea leaves, tea bags, skin and body care products, aromatherapy products, etc.

I tried one of their roasted tea which was available for sampling at the roasting area, and I must say it's really fragrant!

If you forget to buy any of the items while you're there, no worries! They have tea shops in Seoul, Busan and Daegu as well! Prices are the same at both the museum and the tea shops, however you will probably find a wider selection at the museum itself.
