Soi Polo Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดเจ๊กี)
Fried chicken with lots of garlic, fresh green papaya salad, sticky rice, and coke! Totally unhealthy lunch, but totally delicious! The place is not hard to find with Lumphini MRT about 500m away, but we took a cab from our hotel since taxis are relatively cheap in Bangkok. The restaurant was quite busy during lunch time. There must be a lot of foreigners as they have a staff who can speak good English!
We were not too sure what to do with the veggies so we left it there.
The fried garlic was the highlight of the dish! The taste is just nice (not too salty) with the sticky rice.
Green papaya salad (Som Tam (ส้มตำ)) - Totally sour with huge dried shrimps
The meal costs just 275 Baht (S$10.60)! Oh yes, if you love the garlic, you can buy takeaway too!
