I planned a day trip to Aiins world and Sangdong Lake Park, so I thought I'll give the museum a visit as well. There's a few sections in the museum. You start with level 3 exhibitions and then level 4. On level 2 you can find the manhwa library, experience education hall and manhwa movie complex. There's a cafe on the first floor too.
The museum is relatively big, but it's not very tourist friendly, as there's mostly only Korean explanation for the exhibits.

The place is decorated in bright cheery colours, and even the toilet is so cute!
If you are in the mood, you can get your own caricature drawing at Level 1 too!

Sangdong Lake Park (상동호수공원)
Red poppy flowers were in bloom in May when I was there, and makes a really pretty backdrop. I also became an impromptu model for a couple taking photographs. Like other parks in Seoul, you can see locals taking a walk or having picnics in the park.

I got there at 5pm not knowing that there's split admission timings, and was stuck in the cafe for an hour. Fortunately the day is long during this spring / summer, hence I still managed to catch the golden hour for photography. I've also been to Windows of the World in Shenzhen previously, so I thought seeing the night festival will be something different.

In the end I managed to finish a tour of the park's displays and the lights were still not on yet.
While waiting for the skies to darken, I went for the free magic show. Till now I'm still amazed by the fast hands of the magicians, and was entertained while waiting.

The pretty lights at night proved to be worth the wait. It's cold outdoors though, even in late spring, so remember to dress warmly.

  1. Hi! I planned to visit Aiins World Night festival this Oct but I am hoping to catch both day and night views. How does the split timings work? From my understand of the website, there is two admission fees (day and night) and if I bought the day, there will be a discount for the night? Is that correct?

    1. Hi Angelina! The tickets are as follows: 10,000krw till 6pm, 15,000krw from 6pm onwards.. So if you want to be there for both day and night sessions, you need to pay 25,000krw in total. That's what the staff there told me. I went in May and was still able to catch the day view (sunset timing) from 6pm to about 7.30pm. The lights were only switched on after 7.30pm. Hope this helps!
