Started the rainy day with a trip to Pokemon Centre and lunch at Osaka Station. The biggest winner was probably Little V who got a pikachu from waipo and gonggong (one of the rare "waipo-approved" soft toys!!)
Posing with her newly acquired toy!
Halloween was near so the characters were dressed up!

Kushiage, also known as Kushikatsu, is a must-eat in Osaka. It's essentially deep fried food on skewers. I wanted to try another restaurant that was recommended, but since we passed by this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. No regrets! Some skewers were quite unique and unexpectedly good!
Appetisers and sauces for your skewers
Side order of wild yam (Huai Shan - 淮山 or Shan Yao - 山藥) that was so gluey good!
Since all the skewers look the same from the outside, we wanted to make sure we know what we were eating. Thankfully there is a list of translations for the skewers available.

The compound surrounding Osaka Castle was really huge and took us quite a long walk! The queue to enter the castle and for the elevator was long. We didn't stay long at the top since there were so many people, and little V was hungry by then. There's no dedicated nursing room in the castle, but the staff offered me a room (which looked like the first aid room) to nurse my baby.

After our visit to Osaka Castle, we went back to Hankyu Umeda Main Store for shopping and dinner. We wanted to try the food sold at the basement, so we bought a variety of food and had dinner at the courtyard at Level 11.
Persimmon leaf sushi that is a specialty from Nara. A little too fishy for me though.
Hokkaido potato
Matsusaka beef sushi - I would prefer bbq beef instead. This was too tough!
Overall my verdict was that the food at the basement was 好看不好吃 (nice to see, not good to eat).

I really love the nursing rooms in the shopping malls in Japan! They're so spacious and comfortable for the whole family!! My hubby and parents were able to sit comfortably at the main area, which means lesser stress for me (I hate to let people wait). Some even had breastfeeding pillows in the nursing cubicles!
